THE ALL-ROUNDER When we set out to design the XR Spherical, we were after one helmet to do a bit of everything, from racing cyclocross to touring the world to just KOM'ing your buddies on the weekly lunch ride. With Falcon XR, we've taken many of the same features — "Deep Road" fit, ample venting, Fidlock® buckle, IONIC+™ antimicrobial* comfort padding — and built them into a helmet that is both utilitarian and economic. This versatile helmet boasts the same "All-Rounder" ethos and slim profile of XR Spherical and features Mips® Evolve for impact protection in certain crashes. To top it off, we've integrated a removable Blackburn® Grid COB rear light seamlessly into the large rear vent. This 30-lumen "to-be-seen" LED light includes 4 different modes, including Eco Mode that lasts up to 15 hours. The Artex MIPS is a blast of fresh air in helmet design, offering an exceptionally compact road-race-inspired design coupled with a removable visor and slightly deeper coverage for riding trails and grinding out long miles on mixed-surface roads. The fit is luxurious and secure, thanks to Giro's highly adjustable Roc Loc 5 Air MIPS system that allows you to customize fit/feel for great stability and long-range comfort while providing an added measure of protection from rotational forces in the event of an angled impact. The outer shell is molded from a tough polycarbonate that’s fused permanently to the EPS foam liner using Giro's In-Mold construction process to enhance durability and ventilation without excess bulk.
