The second Oklahoma Bike Summit is happening this January 17th and 18th at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame in Tulsa, and is going to be a very visible, informative and effective event for cycling in Oklahoma and Tulsa.
What’s happening there? Day one will be a chance for design professionals to hear about cyclist’s needs and wants. A continuing education credit course will be hosted by Michael Moule and Anne Lusk , present will be city planners, traffic engineers, architects, etc.
Friday evening we will have a meet and greet for all participants at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame , live music and libations available.
Saturday will be a series of speakers , booths from various local and national advocacy and trail organizations, plus a silent auction to help fund future summits. The evening will culminate with a dinner and route announcement for Oklahoma Freewheel , Oklahoma’s cross-state ride.

As you may know, our state is a very well kept secret for cycling, and becoming a mecca for road racing, mountain, cyclocross, gravel riding, and bicycle tourism and recreation in general. Adventure Cycling has just completed their Route 66 cycling route through Oklahoma, and we are already seeing people from all over the world traveling along Route 66, eating at our restaurants, staying at our hotels and state parks, seeing first-hand Oklahoma friendliness and the natural beauty of our state.
